Day sixteen August 31st 2010, Tuesday

Carido Circuit kicked my arse!!!! Didn't help that I went to bed late so I was dragging, and to be real honest I woke up thinking "I should skip today's workout" THANK GOD I didn't. I feel accomplished, I feel better that I did it, I am happy that I pushed play and dug deep within to get this workout down! WHEW! NOW I can relax and be lazy, after I run a few thousand errands...so t-minus 12 hrs till I relax!!! DIG DEEPER!!!!! I DID, YOU CAN! You want to stop having a muffin top over those jeans of yours? Wanna stop trying on new pants at the store only to want to slit your wrist's afterwards because u barely got them up ur thighs? Stop complaining just get up and do it, it's real simple, doesn't have to be as hard as your excuses make it...I was FULL of excuses for a long time: "I'm busy trying to get my business off the ground", I have a toddler and just can't find the time" etc. etc. I heard something the other day and I want to say it here It's about Progress NOT Perfection. U're not trying to have a perfect body because there is no such thing, we r all created different, u cannot look at a model or the girls in the workout video and think "I want to look just like her, let me press play", it's NOT gonna happen...But the progress lies in you, in ur dedication to living healthier, to living longer, being the BEST version of you as can be, that's all.

Day fifteen: August 30 2010, Monday

OMG...So today was my fit test about every 2 weeks I get to test how far I've come with how many times I can do one exercise in a minute, I also did some measurements and took some pictures...pictures will be posted towards the end of my 60 days so look out for those.

OK so if any of you are doing Insanity you will know what each of these moves is and you'll know what my results mean, with that being said:

OK so HUGE improvement in some and lil to none in others...I'm so proud of my push-up jacks since I started with NONE, ZIP, ZERO, ZILCH and I did 9 in just 2 weeks!!!! See what Insanity is doing to and for me? It can do the same for you, all you have to do is keep pushing play and diggin deeper!!! My waist is melting away and I am happy about that too!!! WEPA!!!!

2 workouts in one...Am I insane?

YES!!!! I love Insanity!! Day thirteen (week two) August 28 2010: Saturday

I did pure cardio and then cardio abs! I LOVE the way I feel, I can see it all melting off with each bead of sweat that drips off my head, chest, neck and back! I have to say Shaun T is my favorite trainer in the beachbody series so far, then again I haven't used any other program (yet) but so far he ROCKS! He isn't one of those annoying smiley happy face actors you see on other workout programs, he sweats with you, pushes you, motivates you and even screams and swears when it just gets that tough!!! Real! My kids think I'm crazy (I love it) but I love that they see me push, they see my determination, my drive and I can only hope this rubs off on them with anything they tackle in life! Monday is my fit test, eager to see how far I've come and I get to take some more pictures to compare...yay (:-/ haha, actually I really am looking forward to it. Drinking my chocolate shakeology drink now YUM! 2 weeks down, 7 weeks to go!

Day Twelve: August 27 2010, Friday

TGIF! I started my day out great! Did Insanity's Cardio Power and Resistance and it kicked my butt! And I LOVE IT! Shakeology afterwards helped. I just kept envisioning myself blending it up and taking my 1st sip in order to get me through the workout! I'm starting to feel the difference with only being on Shakeology for 3 days, and I notice a difference in my body after only two weeks of working out AND missing 2 days. I don't like missing days at all, because I see it as I could have been a lil further had I done it all, but that's OK. The goal and mission is still on track and I am on a mission to be and live healthy! For me and for my kids. I hope everyone has an amazing day and weekend no matter what get's thrown at us to take us off track.

Day ten: August 26 2010, Thursday

Recovery Thursday WOO HOO! My new fav day of the week! I missed two days of working and I could be hard on myself and be down and angry and say how I hate myself for it, but what's the point in beating myself up? The punishment I got was missing two days; I think I've suffered enough don't you? I jumped back in and I am happy I did, I pushed play and dug deeper, now I'm rewarding myself with a delish shakeology drink for Breakfast. Yum!

So do NOT be discouraged if you miss a day or things come up and u can't seem to find the time that day or few days...as long as you get back up and keep going you're going to be good...Lesson to learn here is do not lose heart. The average person works out only 3 days a week to stay fit and I am doing 6 days so I'll live. :-) just get back in the game and get the look u want!!! Day Eight: August 23 2010, Monday

WHEW!!! Yesterday was rest day and it was MUCH needed. I felt better today except that I have friends in town and so I didn't get to bed till about 3:330am this morning and still had to wake up at 7am AND did my workout...I do NOT recommend that to anyone!!! But I did it, I pressed play and persevered! I'm happy that I did it! On a sad note, I busted my blender over the weekend and need to get a new one ASAP before my shakeology comes in because I don't think I am strong enough (yet) to stir it up with a whisk and sheer will power.

No matter what you are facing today PRESS PLAY and DIG DEEPER!!! You wont regret it, and you will only reap the rewards afterwards! Have a blessed Monday and rest of the week!!! Till tomorrow!!

Week one

Day's 1-6:

This an account of how my first week with Insanity is going...I started Insanity a few months back but life got in the way and I had to stop for a while...Now I'm back on track. I decided to keep a journal for every day I workout and I figured I'd share with the world wide web in case there was anyone out there in need of a push or some encouragement.

I am also now a Team Beachbody coach!! Which just means I have a license to scream at you! No, joking...I will never scream...too loud so anyone hears it...no serious, I am doing this as a way to help motivate. I had that same help and I want to be able to share it with anyone and everyone who want's to change their life for the better...so with a daily routine, goals in place, my shakeology in hand and God on my side, let the journey begin!

I will post the week's journals but after this it will be a daily thing so as not to create this LARGE super looooooong post that will take you 20 minutes to scroll through (mine will only be 19 minutes). Enjoy and by all means JOIN ME on the the journey down the road less traveled by; a slower, realistic approach to weight loss not these get fit quick schemes you see during your nightly stroll with the remote control through numerous info-mercials.

Day one: Aug 16th 2010, Monday

Fit test today...WOW. I think I did better than the last time I did the fit test, but still it killed me. I wobbled to the bus stop to take my kids to school this morning. I feel so accomplished though. I refuse to give up this time. Had my morning fruit smoothie to hold me over...Can't wait for Amy to call so I can tell her about my 1st day...b4 pictures were enough to remind me that UGH, I need to whip it into shape NOW, how gross, and my measurements were horrible too, can't wait for the 2nd fit test just to see how much I improved!!

Day two: August 17th 2010, Tuesday

Started out good but cramps were too strong to continue, disappointed that I didn't get to finish but I will hit it hard tomorrow! Ate well today, made a nice veggie sauté. I am starting to get hungry all the time again, so went to get some healthy snacks and veggies. Looking forward to tomorrow, I'm sore and I LOVE it!

Day three: August 18th 2010, Wednesday

OMG I want to throw up. Y do I punish myself so?! Because I want to look good and I enjoy the fact that I am working for it and not taking short cuts. I made it through the entire workout with a few breaks but I did it, I saw the end and it was good!! I feel accomplished...my day can begin and I am still burning calories!! I feel so weak...I'm eager to get beyond this point! Had my youngest take some images of me working out just so I could see how ridiculous I looked, but to my surprise I'm doing it right, hence the burn I feel all over my body! And it burns so good! Day four: August 19th 2010, Thursday

Recovery Thursday...My FAV part of Insanity! I'm hurting bad and I LOVE IT! I'm pushing and digging deeper!!! I signed up to be a beachbody coach yesterday and I am SO excited about that as well! It's just another push and step in the right direction...Now I HAVE to stay on top of this because I'm going to be an example to many. I'm on fire now wanting to sign everyone, wanting everyone to want to be as healthy as I do, as fit, and as toned, Can't wait to take after pictures!!

Day five: August 20th 2010, Friday

Pure cardio...."AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" that's all that came out of me today. It is most definitely not my favorite workout of the series but still it has to be done!! Nuff said!

Day six: August 21st 2010, Saturday

Gloomy day here but I busted my butt on Plyometric Cardio Circuit, CRAZY!! And in the middle of the video I actually felt like crying...from pain, from monthly hormones :-/, and because of the way Shaun T got down on the floor and was in Alicia's face and she turns to him sweating, panting and smiling...I just got so inspired by that. I'm just happy to be on my way to feeling and looking great. Week one is over and I could have spent this whole week doing nothing but sitting at my desk working or watching TV or lounging around hating myself and regretting that I didn't start but I DID, I am one week into it and 54 days closer to my goal!

LET'S GO!!!!! DIG DEEPER!

On a happy note my shakeology is on it's way!!!
